Marion B. Quackenbush

Albany-Marion B. Quackenbush, 88, beloved wife of the late John J. Quackenbush, entered into eternal peace on Friday July 2, 2009 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her most treasured moments were those spent with close friends and family enjoying life's simply pleasures. She was many things to many people, all of whom will miss her dearly but look forward to having her watch over them from above. Lady - you are the best! We will miss seeing your smile and beautiful blue eyes. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nell Kinley, and sister of the late Raymond Kinley. She is survived by her sister, best friend, and constant companion Helen McDermott; children Frank (Kathy) Quackenbush, Gail Q. Harris, John J. (Judy) Quackenbush Jr., Jill (Terry) Ryan, William (Ellen) Quackenbush; grandchildren Patrick (Heidi) Quackenbush, Grady (Sarah) Quackenbush, John Quackenbush III, Jill E.Q. Harris, Sean Quackenbush, Sarah (Gregory) Hirsch, Kelly (Daniel) Cochran, Robert (Michelle) Harris, Marcy (John) Torreblanca, Katie (Steven) McCutcheon, Matthew Quackenbush, Ryan Quackenbush, Chelsea Ryan, Rory Quackenbush, Daniel Quackenbush; ten great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends survive. The family would like to thank the doctor's, nurses and staff of 5 Brady-Farrell and The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital for their comfort and kindness while Marion was in their care. Funeral services Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 9:00 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to Sacred Heart Church, North Albany at 9:30 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, July 6, 2009 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY.
