Jane Marie Gordon

West Sand Lake, NY-Jane Marie Gordon- Jane Campana Gordon, age 97, beloved wife of Ivan S. Gordon, died on January 27th, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy on, November 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Jane Pafundi Campana. She was educated at St. Mary’s Elementary School and Catholic Central High School, Class of 1947 both in Troy. She was a dedicated employee of New York State Taxation and Finance for 41 years. She and Ivan loved traveling and found joy in discovering new places and experiences. They especially enjoyed visiting Alaska, Hawaii, and the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Jane also enjoyed walking and faithfully attending church services. Known for her sharp sense of humor and boundless kindness, Jane found joy in making others laugh and comfort in helping those around her. Her legacy lives on in the smiles she shared and the love she gave so freely. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Pamela (Mark) McKee, Wendy Hilt (Stuart James), Leland (Anne) Hilt Jr., Marjorie (Kevin) Miller Sr., Dominick Hilt Sr., Nancy Bonesteel, Alison (Frank) Vardaro Sr., Charles Anderson (Bohdan Lewyta),Cheryl Valenti (Eugene Fiacco), Lori Jack, Alan Gordon and Sarah Bouleris, and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Mary (Leland Sr.) Hilt, sister, Carol (Chuck) Anderson. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her devoted niece Marjorie and her husband Kevin, for their unwavering dedication and compassionate care the past 10 months.
