Clifton Park - Anna Maria V. (Martello) Gapp. Born at sea December 19, 1929 and entered into rest on December 16, 2016. Widow of Joseph A. Gapp. Daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Martello. Mother of Cheryl Dreis Cole of Clifton Park, NY and the late Charles P. Dreis II. Grandmother of Caitlin Cole of (Long Island, NY) and Dylan Cole and his wife Tanya (Hoboken, NJ). Great-Grandmother to Kinsley G. Cole and Quinn M. Cole (Hoboken, NJ). Step-mother of Joseph M. Gapp and wife Marguerite (Troy), Paul E. Gapp and his wife Denise (CA), Ronald J. Gapp (CA), and loving step-Grandmother of their children. Sister of Andrew Martello and his late wife Marguerite (Albany), and the late Rose Grembocki, Louis T. Raona, Christina Mills, Anna Martello, and Emma Martello. She was a devoted Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her beloved neighbors Michael and Jackie Kingsston. She retired as a Sr. Administrative Analyst with the NYS Dept. of Labor after 32 years of service. She was an active member of the Public Employees Federation and served as Vice President of Council 202. She was a member of the Department's Golf and Bowling Leagues until her retirement. She was an accomplished artist and creator of many original stained glass works. An avid duplicate bridge player, she was a member of the American Contract Bridge League. For several years, she was a member of the Albany, NY and Pittsfield, MA Camera Clubs. She was also a member of the Sand Lake and Clifton Park Seniors and Red Hats Chapters. She was a constant reader, wrote poetry, enjoyed gardening, bible study, and touring the USA with her late husband in their motor home during their retirement years. She was a communicant of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Averill Park, NY, and she supported and enjoyed the fellowship of the West Stephentown Baptist Church for many years. Funeral services Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12:00 pm in the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany.
