Willard Bridgham III Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Albany-On the morning of Friday, June 3 Willard Bridgham III of Albany died peacefully at home, aged 77. Willard was born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Alice Dust and Willard Bridgham II in 1944. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Ruth Tompkins Bridgham; his children Willard (Shaleena) Bridgham IV and Josie Madison; his grandchildren Cole (Ari) Trefzger, Willard T. Bridgham, Asher Madison, and Silas Madison; his siblings Sally Bridgham and Arthur Seely; and beloved nieces and nephews. Willard was a graduate of the Darrow School, class of 1964. He earned a BA from Hobart College in 1968, a BS in engineering from Union College in 1977 and was a practicing consulting engineer and a longtime member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He was also instrumental in helping his children build their business, Four Fat Fowl. He was an avid fisherman, award-winning photographer, and amateur musician, spending many joyous hours making music with his children and friends. He was a man of great character and beloved of all who knew him well. The family would especially like to thank Marita Breen of Community Hospice for her humor and loving kindness to him in his last months. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 107 State St., Albany. All are welcome.
