Albany-Sandra G. Farrell, 76, of Guilderland, NY passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at the St. Peter’s Hospice Inn after a brief illness. Sandra was born on November 22, 1944, in Albany, NY to John Thomas Jones and Mary Paratory Jones. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Frederick K. Farrell; her three children, Shawn (Sharon) Leloup of Greeley, Colorado; Stephanie (Frank) Brennan of Niskayuna; and Mark Farrell of Guilderland. Also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter and Abigail Leloup and Ryan and Christian Brennan; her loving sister Marilyn Gower and many nieces and nephews and their families, whom she held very close to her heart. She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Donald Gower. After her graduation from Colonie Central High School in 1962, she worked for Marsh Hallman Chevrolet for several years before working closely with her husband at his photography business for over thirty years while they raised their family, creating wonderful memories boating and camping on Lake George. After her children were grown, she worked for the College of Saint Rose in the Bursar’s Office, where she enjoyed working with the students and had many wonderful friendships with the staff at the college. Sandra and her husband enjoyed a long retirement together, spending winters in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where they made lasting friendships with people from all over the United States and Nova Scotia, shared good food and laughter, and traveled the country, including trips to Colorado and summer vacations in Goose Rocks Beach, Maine. Sandra was most happy when providing for others, whether supporting her grandchildren or sharing her love of cooking and baking with her friends. Sandra was a faithful communicant of St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, NY. It brought her great joy to attend weekly mass with her family and see her “church family.” Sandra’s family wishes to express its deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Peter’s Hospital and the Hospice Inn for their compassionate care for her during the last days of her life.
