Albany- Richard J. Martini, 94, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, NY to the late Michael and Anna Biondo Martini on January 4, 1928. He was educated at the former St. Joseph’s Academy and Albany High School. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He served aboard the U.S.S. Tarawa. He was employed by Sysco Foods for 40 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society, North Albany American Legion Post 1610 and the Albany Elks Lodge # 49. He was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed playing bocce. He was predeceased by his wife of 36 years Dorothy Jordan Martini; his daughter Vicki Blair and her husband Mike Blair; his sister Josephine Martini; brothers Stephen, Guy, Salvatore, Raymond and Frederick Martini. He is survived by his daughter Sherri LaGray ( late Mike);grandchildren Todd Dugan(Louise), Mindy Dugan (Jim), Jennifer Rivera (Miguel), Amanda Rogers (Don), Chris LaGray; great grandchildren Anthony Dugan, Miguel Rivera, Jr., Tyler Becker, Yasmine Rivera, Jacob, Jackson and Olivia Rogers Also predeceased by his great grandson Derek Becker.
