Loudonville-Raymond A. Crodelle, 63, entered Eternal Life Monday, March 22, 2021 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by loving family. Born in Albany, Ray was the cherished son of the late Raymond P. and Lucille Salamida Crodelle. He was a graduate of Shaker High School and enjoyed the New York Giants, Skiing, and especially the Culinary Arts. Ray was an accomplished Chef, and began his career in his parents Moon Restaurant in Albany. On October 1, 1979 Ray and his father opened D’Raymonds Restaurant in Loudonville, NY. D’Raymonds continues to be a leading and legendary restaurant in the Capital Region. Ray is survived by his beloved twin sons, Nicholas A. Crodelle and Michael R. Crodelle; dear brother of Maria Hautau (Gregory) and Gregory Crodelle (Ann); longtime love, friend, and greatest supporter, Christina Mainella; beloved nephew of Maria Heverly; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fellow Chef’s survive. Funeral services Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, NY where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Please only enter the church from the front doorway; masks and social distancing are required; church ambassadors will be available to help with seating and questions; and kindly attempt to arrive before 9:45 am.
