Mary Patricia Marcy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Albany-Mary Patricia Marcy, 92, entered Eternal Life Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Frances Ryan Miller. Mary was graduated from St. Teresa’s Grammar School, Albany in 1944, Vincentian Institute, Albany in 1948, and The College of St. Rose, Albany in 1952. She worked for the Department of State Division of Services Men’s Voting, then the New York State Assembly, and lastly NYSERDA. She volunteered in the Remedial Reading Program at Holy Spirit School, East Greenbush, NY and Religious Education at Sacred Heart Church, Castleton, NY. Mary was the dear wife of Joseph A. Marcy; beloved mother of Katherine Seymour (Chris), Patrick Marcy (Kelly), Ed Marcy (Laura) and the late Joseph A. Marcy Jr and infant Mary Frances Marcy; mother-in-law of Joe’s wife, Susan Marcy; cherished grandmother of Austin, McKenzie, Erin (Kyle), Abagail (Jake), Shawn and Shannon; great grandmother of Liam and Hattie; sister of the late John H. Miller (Betty); Mary was like a mother-in-law to the late Paula Mirabile; several nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 1 PM at the Dreis Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot only. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mary’s family after 11:00 Wednesday in the funeral home. The Rite of Committal will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery immediately following the Service.
