Albany-John J. Thibaudeau, 92, entered Eternal Life Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Maximillian and Antoinette Degonzague Thibaudeau. John graduated in 1944 from Cathedral Academy, Albany, NY and served in the US Army during WW II in the 88th Division Regimental Headquarters as Wire Chief with the rank of Sergeant. He retired from NY Telephone Company after 40 years of employment. He was married to the late Shirley LaFrance Thibaudeau for 36 years, and they enjoyed traveling to Alaska and 37 other States. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, NY and belonged to both the Polish American Citizens Club and American Legion Post 1040. He was the dear husband of the late Shirley LaFrance Thibaudeau; brother of the late Margaret Rem (Al); uncle of Timothy Rem. Nancy O’Neil, Daniel Rem and the late Christopher Rem; numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends survive. Funeral services Monday October 29, 2019 at 9:45 am in McVeigh Funeral Home, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, NY at 10:30 am where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY immediately following the Funeral Mass.
