Albany-Fiorella A. Memmo, 82, entered Eternal Life Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Teresian House. Born in Castel Frentano, Italy, she was the daughter of Giovanni and Erminia DeCesare. Fiorella had been employed as a seamstress at Cohoes Garment MFG, Albany and then for many years as a cashier at Choices Café in Albany Medical Center Hospital. She was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of their Rosary Guild. Fiorella was a master seamstress, and excelled at crocheting, knitting, embroidering and enjoyed reading. Her other greatest joy was cooking and being with her beloved family, especially during the holidays. She was the wife of the late Domenico Memmo; beloved mother of Letitia Walsh, Loretta Memmo-Signor, and Marina Memmo (Karl Yoder); cherished grandmother of Amber, Myla, Jared, Erminia, Eli and Dominique; sister of Edmondo, Cesare, Giuditta, Antoinetta, Rosalba and the late Adriano; and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Fiorella’s family Thursday, November 9, 2017 4:00 to 7:00 pm at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY. Funeral services Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00 am in McVeigh Funeral Home, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 10:30 am where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie immediately following the Mass.
