Emilio Gigliotti

Selkirk-Emilio Gigliotti, 62, passed away on Thursday, May 20th, 2021. Born on Jan. 29th, 1959 in Calabria, Italy, immigrating to the U.S. in 1967, he was the son of the late Petro and Maria (Cianflone) Gigliotti. Emilio worked for the Executive Cleaning Services of Albany where he was assigned mostly to the Shaker Ridge Country Club. For many years Emilio owned and operated the Good Fellas Pizza Shop in Rensselaer. He had a love and incredible talent for making great pizza and had hoped to open a new pizzeria one day. He was a generous man who loved feeding others and visiting with family and friends. He had a smile and personality that was unmatched by anyone. He was a hard worker and was proud of the work he did, instilling this in those who worked for him and with him. He was a great man, a great husband and great father. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Emilio is survived by his loving wife Denise, son Emilio (Deidre) Gigliotti, step-daughter Dina (Steve) Riester, step son’s Ray Lemire, Tommy Kindlon Jr., Christopher (Brandi) Kindlon, Matthew (Danielle) DeLauny, brothers Gino (Cindy) Gigliotti and Peter Gigliotti, sisters Maria, Lena, Josephine Gigliotti & Franca (Joe) Lowry, his uncle Frank (Mary) Gigliotti. Emilio is also survived by his 23 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Emilio’s family Tuesday May 25th, 2021 in the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen Street, Albany NY 12206 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Emilio’s Funeral Service will take place following the visitation at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Please only enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot doorway.
