Eleanor R. Conery Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Troy, NY-Eleanor Reynolds Conery went to be with her Lord on August 3, 2022. Born in Albany to Charles and Carrie Reynolds (née Carmello) on November 18, 1933, she was a resident of the tri-city area for most of her life. She was a graduate of the former Schulyer High School and Albany Business College. She attended SUNY at Albany and Marie College. Prior to her retirement, she worked for the State Comptroller’s Office in Albany for many years. Eleanor was a volunteer for the Red Cross. She volunteered at Albany Medical Center Hospital and Childs Nursing Home. She loved to travel and she did so extensively to Cuba, Rome, Paris, England, and Ireland. She so loved visits from her grandchildren. She was the beloved mother of Melissa Conery and the late Kevin (Maureen) Conery. She was the devoted grandmother of Mitchell, Karlyn, Joseph, and Ryan Conery. She was the sister of the late Charles (Lois) Reynolds and the late James (Marlene) Reynolds. She is survived by her nieces Kim, Kelly, Suzanne, Joanne, Valerie, Cindy, and one nephew Timothy Reynolds. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eleanor’s family Sunday, August 7, 2022 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 8, 2022 at 9:30 am at the Historic Church of St. Mary on Capitol Hill. The Rite of Committal will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont, NY immediately following the Mass.
