Craig Thomas Allen
November 1, 1975 - February 24, 2022
Albany - Our beloved son and brother Craig passed away unexpectedly on February 24th, 2022. The youngest son of Laurence Wesley Allen and Mary DeFlumer Allen, Craig was born and raised in Albany, N.Y. Craig graduated from Christian Brothers Academy where he was a standout baseball player and starred on the basketball team. Craig enjoyed music and was skilled at playing multiple instruments but excelled as a drummer. He spent years writing and recording music and started a local rock band in the early 1990’s. Craig was gifted with a quick wit and always made those around him laugh regardless of the setting. Craig is survived by his parents, Laurence and Mary Allen and four siblings, Sheila Dolan Serowick (Tom) of Glenmont, Lauren Call (Eric) of Guilderland, Michael Allen (Slingerlands) and Brendan Allen (Slingerlands). He is also survived by his son Charles (Charlie) Logan Allen and his nieces and nephews, Emily Allen, Sean Dolan and Cian Serowick, Lily and Amelia Call, Zoe Allen and his loving friend and companion, Leslie Chaplin. Craig will be terribly missed by his family, friends and the many people and lives of whom he touched. We will always cherish the time we had with our son, brother, father, and uncle.
