Charles W. Heran Jr

April 25, 1955 - January 21, 2022

Albany-Charles W. Heran Jr, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, with his family at his side. Chuck was born in Bridgeport, CT son of the late Charles W. Heran Sr and Marion Chimino Heran. He graduated from Boston College and Thomas Cooley Law School and practiced law with both Traveler’s and Martin, Harding and Mazzotti from which he retired in December of 2019. He was an avid sports fan, rooting for the NY Yankees, the NY Giants and his alma mater, Boston College. Chuck was never more happy than when he was at home with his children and his grandchildren but could be persuaded to travel annually to Key West with his family. Much to their parents dismay, he could often be found buying cookies for his grandchildren on Duval Street at 8 am, because “there’s no such thing as time in Key West.” Wherever Chuck was there was always music playing, from Bob Marley to the Beatles. Chuck enjoyed fishing, which he didn’t get to do nearly as often as he would have liked to. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Jeanne Heran; father of Kyle Heran (Karissa), Meghan Wilock (Nicholas); cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Amelia Grace Heran, Theo Nicholas Wilock, Roman Nicholas Wilock, Juliette Marie Heran, and his newest granddaughter who was given his namesake, Giorgia Charles Wilock; brother of Kathy Odoardi (Joseph), Stephen Heran (Areta) and Michael Heran (Kim) and a large extended family. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Chuck’s family Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, NY. Masks are required for everyone. Funeral services Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 9:30 am at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, NY. Please only enter the church from the front doorway; church ambassadors will be available to help with seating and questions; if vaccinated, please seat yourselves in main section of the Church; if unvaccinated or are uncomfortable not social distancing, the two sides of Church are available where social distancing and masks will be required; and please attempt to arrive 15 minutes before.
