Ruth "Anna" Testa

Albany, NY-Ruth “Anna” Testa,87, passed away peacefully and entered Eternal Life Sunday, April 28, 2024. Ruth was born on March 16, 1937, daughter of the late Antonio and Felice (Annello) Testa. She was a 1955 graduate of Ravena-Coeymans High School. Ruth spent her life embracing the joy of laughter and the warmth of good company. She was a longtime resident of Glenmont where she lived harmoniously with her sister, Catherine Testa, for the last 37 years. Catherine provided loving care for Ruth in her final years, for which the family will always be grateful. Ruth proudly worked for the State Bank of Albany and retired with over 40 years of service. A devout Catholic, Ruth was a dedicated and a longtime parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, demonstrated through her years of service as a member of the Rosary Guild, where she found profound solace and purpose. Ruth was fun loving and always smiling and enjoyed a good laugh. She loved to travel, however her greatest joy was in her relationships, creating lifelong friendships, and cherishing the time she spent with them and her family deeply. She possessed a spirited sense of humor and a contagious laugh that brightened the lives of those around her. Ruth’s presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply missed. Ruth is survived by her beloved sisters, Catherine Testa and Antoinette Robbins and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Diane Dutton, Rose Crisafulli, Francisco (Frank) Testa, Mary Poff and Angelina (Angie) Meilak. The family would like to give a special thank you to her physicians at Capital Cardiology, and Dr. Frank Cortazar, Dr. Hausner and a special thank you to her beloved primary care doctor of 40 years, Dr. Mark Olendorff, and the incredible and caring staff at Kingsway Nursing Home and Parkland Gardens. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. Ruth’s Funeral Mass will then follow at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. (Rev. John Bradley Way), Albany, NY 12206. The Rite of Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY immediately following the Mass.
