Patrick M. Kieper

Patrick M. Kieper, 57, formerly of Voorheesville, New York, passed away on June 21, 2012 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Patrick, one of the nicest men to ever step foot on a golf course, would attest that the highlight of his week was playing in his weekly golf league with his father, two brothers, three nephews, and nine of his best friends. When Patrick wasn’t golfing he was hunting. Stories will be told for many years to come of all the wonderful times spent with his friends and family while hunting and golfing. Patrick recently retired as the President and Field Representative of Laborers Union Local 190, prior Patrick was the Director of the Eastern NY Laborers Training Center. Patrick loved his work and was revered by his union members and admired by the contractors with whom he worked with to promote unity and accord. Patrick is survived by his parents, Thomas and Viola (Honey) Kieper, his two brothers Thomas Kieper and Christopher Kieper (Lisa), five sisters Margaret LaDuke, Judith Moak (Bruce), Kathaleen Taylor (Bob), Theresa Comitale (John), and Patricia Fusco (Andy), his son Zachary, daughter Janelle, their mother Aline Kieper, his fiancé and loving friend Pamela Labunski, several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Peter’s Hospital and the Hospice Inn for their loving care and support. We would also like to thank the administration and members of Laborers Local 190 for their love, respect and support. Patrick’s passing is a loss to everyone that had the pleasure to know him. He was a loving kind man and will always be remembered for his sarcastic personality and boisterous laugh. Our beautiful memories of him will live in our hearts forever. Funeral services Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Matthews Church, Voorheesville where a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
