Patricia Ann Malinowski

Loudonville-Patricia Ann (Kelly) Malinowski died peacefully and with grace surrounded by her adoring family at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on April 04, 2015 at the age of 86. Pat was born on July 09, 1928, the eldest of Harriet and George P. Kelly’s seven lovely daughters. Raised in Albany, a graduate of Vincentian Institute in 1945, she and Edward married in1949 and beginning in1950, welcomed six bright boys. Devoted to her churches, both Our Lady of Angels and St. Pius X, Pat was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the parish council. She held the office of Vice President of the Mother’s Club, and was a twenty-seven year member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Marriage Preparation, Marriage Encounter, and the Christian Family Movement groups all benefited from Pat’s participation, as did the students of the various Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes she taught. For eight years Pat volunteered at Albany Memorial Hospital for the Pastoral Care Department. She will also be remembered as an avid artist and gardener. Pat is predeceased by her parents and sisters Virginia Connelly, Rosemary Martenis, Therese O’Donnell; infant brothers George “Sonny” and Joseph, and most recently by her constant companion and loving husband of 65 years, Ed. Pat is survived by her sisters, Georgiana Malandrucolo, Jeanne (Bernard) Connelly, and Kathleen (Gerald) Bogdanowicz; sons Richard, of New Mexico, Paul (Judy) of North Carolina, James (Susan Ann) of Latham, Stephen (Lyn) of Delmar, Thomas (Lisa) of Charlton, and Daniel (Anne) of New Paltz, as well as the grandchildren she was so proud of: Lauren (DC), Jeffrey (Amal), Kevin (Damita), Justin (Theresa), Stephanie (Patrick), Michael, Jared, Amy (Dan), Ethan, Rebecca and Caleb, and two beautiful great-grandchildren Allison and Cameron. Funeral services Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:15 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to St. Pius X Church, Loudonville at 11:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit Wednesday, April 8, 2015 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
