Noreen J. Rosetti

Albany- Noreen Joan Rosetti, age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home Sunday. Noreen was born in Albany, NY on April 17, 1931 to James and Elizabeth Fox. Noreen was the beloved wife of Joseph G. Rosetti for 64 years. She was the much loved mother of Joseph L. Rosetti (late MaryEllen) of Delmar, Patti (Rosetti) Shmaruk (Rick) of Slingerlands and Tom Rosetti (MaryAnne) of Ballston Lake; the cherished grandmother (Nanny) of Jacqueline Rosetti-Hackett (Brian) of Albany, Angela Rosetti (Lawrence Schaefer) of Niskayuna, Teresa Rosetti (John Theodoropoulos) of Clovis, New Mexico, Amanda Keller (Stephen) of Ballston Lake and Chris DeZuba of Ballston Lake. In addition, Noreen was the devoted and adored great-grandmother of Anna Austin, age 8 and Elijah Hackett, age 4. She was the loving aunt of her nephew Jack Fitzgerald and niece Noreen Shea. Survived by her in-laws, Frances and Robert Blendell and Carlo and Alexis Rosetti. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends and neighbors and very dear friend Joan Carroll. Noreen was pre-deceased by her brother James Fox and her sister Catherine Fitzgerald. Noreen was a deep-rooted resident of Albany. She had a great love of her home and welcomed anyone into it at anytime. Noreen spent countless hours caring for all members of her family. She took great pride in being a part of the lives of all her loved ones, taking particular joy in cooking for her family and friends. She especially loved the holidays and made them extra special for her family. One of Noreen's very favorite things to do was playing and spending time with her two special great-grandchildren Anna and Elijah. She loved Irish music and was also very proud of her Irish heritage. Noreen and Joe traveled the world together and enjoyed the art, food, and culture wherever they went. Noreen had a special place in her heart for Ireland, Italy and San Francisco. Noreen also had great love of flowers and all types of gardening. She deeply adored her home, family and friends and held them all close to her heart at all times. Noreen and Joe lived life to the fullest together and enjoyed every minute of it. Funeral services Friday, August 1, 2014 at 8:15 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to the Historic Church of St. Mary on Capitol Hill at 9:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
