John Laviano

ALBANY — John Laviano, 91 of Stuart, FL formerly of Albany and Westmere passed away peacefully on Thursday October 20, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Castiglione di Sicilia, Italy on April 9, 1925. He immigrated to the United States in 1955. John was a master tile setter and perfectionist in his trade. He enjoyed making and sharing his homemade wine and limoncello. John’s sense of humor and love for life was enjoyed by all who knew and loved him. John was a past member of The Leonardo Da Vinci Club and currently a member of The Kingswood Men’s Club and Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe Laviano and Angela (Restifo) Laviano. His beloved wife of 65 years Rosaria “Sarina” Laviano and daughter Angela Laviano- Casale. And brothers Angelo, Carmen, and Salvatore, sisters Carmela Batolone, Maria Catena DiMartino and Sara Bartolone. Cherished and loving father of Carmella (Bill) Pompa of Port St. Lucie, FL, Mary (Frank) Bolognino of Halfmoon, Vincent (Angie) Laviano of Palm City, FL and Joseph (Beverly) Laviano of Port St. Lucie, FL. Loving Grandfather of: John (Megan) Laviano, Danielle (Jeremy) Waligory, Christopher Laviano, Joe Warfield, Jessica Laviano, Kristen (Kevin) Snow, Vanessa (Joey) Muto, Adam (Katelyn) Laviano, Lia (Kevin) Duffy, Sara Casale, Michael Bolognino, Justin (Liz) Bolognino and nine great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Anthony (Stella) Laviano, Vince (Laura) Laviano and Giuseppe (Maria) Laviano, his sister Angela Spataro, and sister-in-laws Josephine Laviano, Carmelina Ragonese, Severina Papa and Maria Laviano.
