Jeril M. Reyes

East Greenbush - Jeril Reyes was born on June 14, 1995 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Yngrid Colon and Ricardo Reyes. Jeril walked into the loving arms of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 22, 2018, at the age of 23. Jeril is survived by her parents, Yngrid Colon of East Greenbush, and her father, Ricardo Reyes Sr. of Queens, her stepfather Ignacio Delgado of Boston; her siblings, Maria Reyes and her two brothers, Ricardo and Miguel; her maternal grandparents, Siricio and Lourdes Colon of Albany, her Paternal grandmother, Altagracia of Queens, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. While living in Albany, Jeril attended Blessed Sacrament School and Bishop Maginn High School. After graduating with excellent grades from Bishop Maginn High School in 2015, Jeril was pursuing a degree in Nursing at Bradford Hall, where she met a great group of friends. Jeril loved to draw, and always carried a sketchbook with her, where she used to paint beautiful designs, flowers, faces, and her favorites: butterflies, of which she had a collection. Throughout her life she also played volleyball with her high school team. Jeril was always willing to help others, she was an animal lover, with an overall caring genuine soul. She will be missed by her beautiful cat Baker Beybey. She struggled all her life with epilepsy, a condition she fought like a warrior, and ended her long battle on the morning of November 22, 2018. Her family is now sad for their loss but understand an angel was gained, giving them strength. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jeril’s family on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany. Funeral Services Saturday December 1, 2018 at 8:15 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany at 9:00 am where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
