Jane E. Moore

Troy-Jane E (Reed) Moore of Troy, N.Y. died peacefully on February 16, 2012 with her loving children at her side. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin B and Jane D. (Leonard) Reed. She is survived by 10 children, Jane (Dr Virgilio) Victoriano, Dorothy Patterson, Nancy (Dr Jesus)Yap, Ellen (Dr. Rommel) Lozada, Mary Milham, Edward (Anne) Moore , Judy Moore, Nora(Anthony)Baratto, Melanie Moore and Benjamin(Adrienne) Moore. Jane had 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving companions, Stitch and Higgins. Jane was predeceased by her husband Dr Robert J Moore, two sons, Robert E (Sandra) Moore, Gerard J (Peggy) Moore, a grandson, Rommel Lozada Jr. and her siblings Benjamin (Jean), Edward(Carole) Reed and Mary (Reed) Mc Hugh. Jane was raised in Albany and graduated from St. Peter’s Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at St Peter’s Hospital for many years. She pursued her Master’s degree after raising her children and taught at Manpower and the Board of Cooperative Education (BOCES) until her retirement. Jane was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, needle work and crafts. She loved making things for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed telling stories about her Irish roots, old Albany and raising her 12 children. We thank her and our father for the precious gift of having “each other” in our lives. She had a great sense of humor even throughout her illness and will be truly missed by all. Funeral services Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 9:30 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to St. Pius X Church, Loudonville at 10:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, February 20, 2012 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
