Edward G. Kuhn

Ballston Lake- Edward G. Kuhn entered Eternal Life Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home. Ed was born in Albany, New York to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Ebner Kuhn. He faithfully ensured his mother’s care throughout her life until her passing in 2002. Ed proudly served in the United States Army earning a Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter Medal. After his honorable discharge from the Army in 1962, his lifelong career was with the United Traction Company/Capital District Transportation Authority holding numerous roles until his retirement. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1321, serving as the Grievance Representative and later as the Vice President under long-time co-worker and friend, Babe Amash. Ed was also the owner of Custom Video Store. He made many friends through the business and enjoyed running the store with his sister Joan. In his retirement, he moved on to relax and enjoy the quiet, peaceful view of Saratoga Lake where he lived for many years. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Kuhn (Stella Foyder), Joan Kuhn Endres (Francis Endres, Sr.) and George Kuhn. He was also predeceased by his nephew, Joseph Kuhn, III. Ed is survived by his nieces and nephews Michele (Kenny) Mayers, Chrissy (Gerald) Setzer, George Kuhn, Cindy Endres and Frank Endres; his Godson Steven Garrison; Scott, who helped care for him in his later years. In addition, he leaves many dear friends and former co-workers, too numerous to mention. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ed’s family on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 9:00am to 10:00 a.m. at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Ed’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. (Fr. John Bradley Way), Albany NY 12206 on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. The Rite of Committal will be held in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY immediately following the Mass.
