Donna M. Crupi

Albany – Donna Marie Crupi, 71, entered peacefully into eternal life on January 22, 2023, at her Teresian House residence surrounded by her loving family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Albany, September 20, 1951, she was the daughter of her late parents, Dominic Crupi Sr. and Margaret Klein Crupi. Donna was a lifelong resident of Albany and a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School. She worked with NY Telephone Company for many years at the State Street office. She was a past member of the Columbiettes Catholic organization. Donna loved being outdoors whether it was on a picnic at one of her favorite parks, sitting on a deck at a loved one’s house or at one of the gardens at the Teresian House. In her early years, Donna traveled extensively especially to the West Coast and Hawaii on numerous occasions. The beaches of Wildwood, NJ also held a special place in her heart. She loved to play Bingo from the time she was twenty and she continued to hone her skills at the Teresian House. Above all, she loved spending time with her family for any occasion. She also loved keeping tabs on her nieces and nephews. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Teresian House and the compassionate staff of Carmel Gardens West who loved and cared for Donna over the past year and a half. She will truly miss her Teresian family. Donna had a very strong faith and prayed daily. She held a special devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary. She was a kind and gentle soul who always made you feel special when you were in her presence. Donna was the loving sister of Ann (Christian) Strohmaier, John (Kelly) Crupi; and the late Dominic Crupi Jr.; sister-in-law to Donna Crupi; cherished aunt of Nicholas, Brian, Christian, Michael, Tara (Cody), Hannah and Jacob; great aunt of Levi, Harper and Karsyn. She is also survived by many loving cousins and some very special friends who will miss her dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Donna’s family on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. Funeral services Friday, January 27, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Parish of Mater Christi, Albany, NY where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
