Dominic A. Crupi, Jr.

Latham - Dominic A. Crupi, Jr., 67, of Latham and formerly Guilderland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Albany, he was the son of the late Dominic and Margaret (Klein) Crupi. Dom was a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School and Siena College. He recently retired from a 34-year career in Telecom/Software Sales with over 10 years as a Channel Account Manager at Nortel Networks. Dom will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was also a great friend to many people. Dom was outgoing, kind and loved to make others laugh and smile. His faithfulness was admirable as well as the time he spent providing care for his parents and sister Donna. The times Dom spent with his family were his most cherished memories. The joys of his life were his sons Nick and Brian. Dom enjoyed watching his sons play sports when they were younger and never missed a game, always giving positive encouragement. He coached several of their youth sports teams. Dom loved the Adirondacks and was hoping to enjoy retirement with his wife, Donna, at their recently purchased camp in Bolton Landing. Although cut short, he cherished the time spent there with family and friends over the last two years. He was happiest hiking a mountain or trail, large or small, and always looked forward to the fall camping weekend with his high school buddies. Dom spent many fun times and vacations with a close group of dear friends. He also enjoyed tennis, golf, playing cards, Saratoga race track, and became addicted to pickleball a few years ago. He loved attending many sporting events and was a diehard NY Yankees and Giants fan. Dom is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna (Meitch) Crupi; sons, Nicholas and Brian Crupi; siblings Donna Crupi, Ann Strohmaier (Chris), and John Crupi (Kelly). There are also cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends that will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, Dom was predeceased by his loving wife of 7 years, Janis (Yezzi) Crupi. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dom’s family on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Please only enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot doorway. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 9:45 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, thence to St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12210 at 10:30 am where Dom’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will immediately follow the Mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
