Dolores B. Stack

ALBANY- Dolores B. Stack, died peacefully on March 31, 2010, at her residence at the Teresian House. She was born Oct. 16, 1930 in Jersey Shore, PA to Joseph and Carmel Grieco Barone, the youngest of three children. She graduated from Albany High School in 1948 and Mildred Elley Business School in 1949. She started her career at the Albany Board of Education in 1950, retiring in 1922 as an internal auditor. Dolores’s life was centered on family and friends. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed shopping, bus trips and having lunch with the ladies. Dolores was involved with the AARP and especially enjoyed working with the Albany High School Reunion Committee. She was a communicant of the former St. Teresa of Avila Church until her relocation to the Teresian House in 2007. Dolores was predeceased by her husband William in 1999. She is survived by her loving sons Joseph E. of New York City and Gregory W. of Albany; her sister Isabel Barone of Albany; her granddaughters Nicole Stack of Scotia, Cailin Stack of Albany for whom she had enormous love and affection; one great grandson Robert Abel Chandler of Scotia. Beloved friend of Lorraine Ferris and Marty Denniger. The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the third floor B wing at the Teresian House as everyone became family to us during Dolores’s stay. On a special note the family would also like to recognize Rita Rouleau of the Teresian House whose kindness and patience was so very much appreciated. Funeral from the McVeigh Funeral, 208 N. Allen St. Albany, Tuesday at 10:15AM, thence to the Infant of Prague Chapel at the Teresian House where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
