Angela Ann Fox

Albany-Angela Campobasso Fox entered into eternal life on Saturday May 21st at the Hospice Inn in Saint Peter’s Hospital. Angela had been sick for quite some time, but her illness never once stopped her from living her life to the fullest. She was predeceased by her Mother Ann Campobasso and her Father John (Andy) Campobasso as well as many Aunts and Uncles. Survived by her husband of 27 years Robert Fox and her daughters, who she treasured more than anything else in the world, Angelica Roddy and Katie Fox. Angela loved her son’s in-law John Roddy and Jeremy Leganczuk and treated them as her own children. Angela’s greatest joy was her granddaughter, despite her illness Angela vowed to meet her first and only grandchild Carly Ann Roddy. She was able to accomplish this feat…and beyond…and because of this great desire, baby Carly was able to spend some treasured time with her Nana. Angela is also survived by her cousins, Bobby and Johnny Dragonette, and Carmen Ravida (Emily). Angela is also survived by her cousins Frank Schiavone (Joan) and Connie MacPhee (Roland) who were more like a sister and a brother to Angela than cousins. Angela is also survived by many other cousins and family who loved and cherished her. She also had a special place in her heart for her friends at Sunset Bay. Angela was a graduate of Philip Schuyler Senior High School Class of 1966. Angela worked at Albany Airport for 16 years. She graciously served and was always willing to lend an ear to weary travelers, happy families, or just the occasional regular who enjoyed coming in to watch the planes take off. Angela loved to share stories of her time at the airport, some of her favorite stories were about her experiences meeting Muhammad Ali, Christopher Reeve, and Andre the Giant. For the past 17 years Angela worked at Capital Communications Federal Credit Union. She would describe the Credit Union as the most wonderful place to work in the world. She cherished all of her wonderful friends there, not a day went by where Angela was not happy to go to work… she loved her job and loved her friends there. Angela would like to thank everyone at Cap Com for all the love and support shown to her throughout her illness, a special thank you to Cap Com President Paula Stopera for all the support she has given to Angela and the entire Fox family. Angela loved her Roman Catholic faith and was a communicant of Saint Ambrose Church in Latham. She loved God and today Angela is with him in paradise. Funeral services Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:00 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany thence to St. Ambrose Church, Latham at 11:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, 4:00 to 7:00pm in the funeral home. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
