Dawn Marie Crouch

Albany, NY-Dawn Marie Crouch, 68, entered Eternal Life Monday, January 29, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center. Born in Albany, Dawn was the beloved daughter of the late Harold “Poozie” W. and Joan S. Munro Preville. Dawn was employed after high school by International Harvester in 1974 where she worked for over 9 years until being laid off. She then was hired back as a contractor and continuously worked for its’s successor Navistar until her illness in November of 2023. Dawn was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany. She served the Parish in so many different ways over the years, including as a Eucharistic Minister and Religious Education teacher. She was loyal to her family, and her church in every way possible. Dawn was the loving wife for 46 years of Leonard “Lenny” J. Crouch; cherished and loving mother of Eric J Crouch (William) and the late Brian M. Crouch (who entered Eternal Life in 2001); sister of Harold W. Preville Jr (Marilyn), William Preville (Adrianne) and Ronald Preville (Susan); daughter-in-law of the late Louise E. Crouch; sister-in-law of Louise Cronin (late Charles), Barbara Smith (late Edward), Jean Marie Cole (Michael), Joanne Doherty, and the late Robert Crouch; Dawn is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, friends, her beloved fur baby walking partner Fionnlagh “Finn”, and her special friends, the Keane’s, Tarios, Mary T. Rosch, and Finn’s 2nd mom Maria Peltz and Bud. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dawn’s family Friday, February 2, 2024, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. Funeral services Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. (Father John Bradley Way), Albany, NY 12206 where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in St. Peter’s Shrine next to her beloved and cherished son Brian.
