Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Maria Antonucci Gerasia. Rose enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking….especially Italian cookies. Her most favorite of all was preparing Sunday dinner for her family. She was a former volunteer for many years at New Visions (formerly NYSARC). Her husband C. Nick Testa, predeceased her in 1988 She was the mother of Sal Testa (Mary Kay), Mary Malone (Bob) and Barbara Johnson (Bob); grandmother of Michelle Helm (Kevin), Kevin Malone (Stacia) and Meghan Malone-McNally (Jeff); great grandmother of Josh, Joe, Michael, Nina, Olivia and Julia; sister of the late Carmella Ilacqua, Margaret Torre, Frances Gerasia and Peter Gerasia; survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 8:15 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to All Saints Catholic Church, Albany at 9:00 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday evening, 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
